She developed a love for sports at a young time. While she competed at many levels during her time in college and during school, it wasn't until later that Taft made the decision to focus on broadcasting. Taft began her broadcasting career with Fox Sports North after graduating from Boston University with a degree in broadcast journalism. Along with covering sports Taft also worked as social media contributors and filled in for many games. In no time, Fox Sports 1 hired Taft as a reporter in the News and Highlights department. Taft was a field reporter of numerous prestigious tournaments while she was working at FS1. When she was a reporter in the college sidelines football, she was subsequently promoted to become the main college football reporter along with Gus Johnson. In 2018 her biggest accomplishment was that she was requested to serve as moderator on the popular TV show Skip and Shannon Undisputed the post that she still holds to this day. In recent times, she was named the host of her show CFB Inside Slant.
